The tax rate varies based on momentary government decisions. The health insurance is meh, and you pay co-pays. Beirut is expensive, so while your salary is fine for Beirut, it won’t allow for much luxury. There’s a lot of pollution and lack of public works. The retirement program is only for American citizens. If you are American but have Lebanese family, you will be cheated out of your 401k. Salary scales are not published and parties are opaque about the schedules and reasoning behind it. The bonuses are not much. $6,000 for settling in spread over two years and $4000 for signing on for another contract, paid in two installments. Oftentimes you will have overage without getting paid.
